For my 31 Day Draconian Challenge this January I have decided to do long exposure. Every picture will have at least at one second exposure.

Great start to your challenge – the colour and details are great. I love the blue snow at larger size and the subtle motion in the cars lights.
I am looking forward to your ideas as we are using this theme later in the year at Camera club.
Christmas lights at night, how fun.
I love the contrast of the lights against the dark sky and i also love the subtle motion on the cars
hmm… I find that there is a lack of detail. I understand you are doing a one second exposure, but in this case I don’t think it’s quite enough. I can tell that it’s a street scene but there are many details lacking . Perhaps consider a more brilliantly lit scene if taking at night? Or focus on motion blurs?
Very nice place for your picture. I like the decorations and I like the speed in the car.
I like the idea, however I find myself wishing it was an even longer exposure to really make the lights stand out and give the car taillights a longer trail.
I love this theme, look forward to see your photos
Lovely night street scene for day one!
Good thing we can see the mug in day two, or might think you blurred it on purpose not to see someone picking their nose (ha).
For day 1, there is perhaps a bit too much darkness and not enough lights to have the impact the scene deserves, but it’s a great composition.
Day 2 is very cool. The blurry hand makes it look like there is some seriously fast drinking going on!
Cool speed drinker shot!
Ahhh contemplating the morning cuppa! I like your tree in the background and festive table mats
She looks down in the dumps. I think she needs another drink. Good photo however.
Challenging theme. Your tripod will be working overtime this month. And you will know the best combination of setting by the end of it.
Kuddo’s to your model to only move her arm for your day 2 shot.
Day 1. Feels a little too much black for me and doesn’t grab my attention. Slighterly lighter road with it’s converging lines could have helped draw my eye into the picture.
Day 2. Like the idea and am left wondering if the cup was raised or lowered. Like that there is some definition in the cup rather than completely blurred
2. Funny, I was seeing it as a rather slo-mo movement, not fast, just contemplative.
3. Looks like you have been invaded by spirits in the snow.
I really like the combination of sunshine and shade. Effective.
Cool ghost picture. Unfinished business or haunting time?
Great challenge to take on. I like the street scene but I think a longer exposure would be good to see.
Always liked motion shots and the coffee cup is right there.
The light must have been just right for the snow scene. Too much and it wouldn’t work. I like this one.
I have no idea what day 4 is but it looks very cool! I like the zoom effect!
It is a toy wooden airplane. It does look at little random though.
Now that you say it can see it
It was the propeller that threw me off.
Day 3. Cor what a lot of snow and nobody wanting to stand still in it
Day 4. Interesting effect, I was thinking the rotor was moving but now I see it is zoom blur.
Day 3 shows the problems one can have with any time of exposure, the difference in the dark foreground and bright background. The ghosting looks cool though.
In day 4 I find it hard to figure out what I’m looking at. That would not be a problem if the lines itself were intruiging enough. Well, this challenge is to stumble upon the problems, learn and solve them the next day. At the end of the month you’ll be an expert on this subject. Keep going!
I like day 4. Has an abstract feel to it that makes it hard to identify. In fact still not sure what it is. A childs toy?
An airplane, that would have done well in one of those guessing games. I like the, I guess it is the biplane wings…nice effect
Day 4 – Cool effect. Would never have guessed an airplane.
Day 3 looks faintly spooky, and perhaps needs a slightly shorter shutter and wider aperture to be able to make out the figures. However, that being said, it IS clear what they are, even if they are a little faint for the real world. Nice work.
Day 4 is intruguing. The colours are fantastic, and the zoom blur works well the render the mysterious abstract.
Day 5 – the choice of the headstone as a foreground interest subject is intriguing, and the night lights make a fabulous vista. Just a hint of moving cars is lovely.
Day 6 – the moving dog makes for a fabulous abstract, and it’s really hard to tell what sort of creature it is.
Nice work. You’ll be a long exposure expert before the month is out!
Day five: I like the foreground treatment and the background is very nice. The only thing I am not sure what it is is that turquoise ring by the one lamp post.
Day 6. Cool action dog shot!
The turquoise ring is a lit Christmas wreath.
Very cool! Makes for a cool mysterious effect!
Day 5 : I like the towns lights and road but find that big black rectangle of sky distracting
Quite like your day 6 shot. Completely abstract and remind me of Jupiters red spot.
Interesting shot
I love the almost abstrat day 6, almost as if a fox was caught in the act.
On a sidenote. I wish we could see & and comment on each photo seperately as scrolling is increasing this way.
For day 7 , I like the blur on the people, but the shake on the building is a bit distracting.
It is quite snowy where you are! That hockey pic is cool! Nice capture of action!
A really good action shot.
I endorse what secretatlantis says above. It’s going to be a long trek by 31 days and I like to comment.
Cool action shot for that bonus that I never saw before. Very effective.
Cool hockyshot!
