The Vegan Stoner Cookbook

I looked at this cookbook hoping for a way to make vegetables more interesting and provide some variety on the occasional evenings when I am in the mood and have the ingredients for some good vegan cuisine. I was a little disconcerted to see when I looked inside the cover that the stoner part of the title is given as much weight as the vegan part.
I could got past that. I was more interested in the recipes than the illustrations. I could over look the recipe for ‘herb oil’. What I had much more trouble with is the reality that this isn’t what I would call a cookbook. The recipes don’t start with ingredients, they start with mixes. I don’t buy processed food and I don’t buy mixes. That made most of the recipes unusable to me.
For those who might find the stoner amusing or applicable, or for those who want ways to tweak the mixes they already have in the cupboard, this book may be useful.
